Express Arts Therapy

“Art washes from the soul the dust of everyday life.” ~ Pablo Picasso

As parents, when our child falls ill or is prone to a disorder or a discomfort; we are diligent to seek for remedies and constructive answers to aide in that time of discomfort.

Expressive Art Therapy has been one of the most operational form of therapies for reaching out to every population especially children. For children expressive art serves as the best form of catharsis. All five disciplines of the arts: visual, dance/movement, music, drama/theatre, and writing/poetry can give you a richer vocabulary to work, play and grow a life you love living. Art is an enjoyable process. Research shows, how art has helped deal with depression, and anxiety and may generate feelings of fear, anger, guilt, and emotional repression. Individuals who experience the therapy show enhanced psychological wellbeing along with increased positive emotions. Art therapy is relatable to all as it is an expressive language of the conscious and the unconscious minds.

At CLAP, programs for children are based on this model, because of which children love to come here. Expressive art therapy also helps us obtain clarity as facilitator into the child’s strengths. We know how to work with each and how each of our plans will work best for our children. We have had multiple success stories of the children and their magical evolution. CLAP is the place to be to witness this yourself.
