This play is based on the short story written by Shri Vijay Tendulkar. This is the story of a common man who maintains the hobby of writing. Though his writing is strictly limited to himself & nothing was published except few letters in the local newspapers related with very common problems in socio-political life. The protagonist of this play just completed 74 years. After the death of his wife he realizes the life is terminal disease. Loneliness pursue him for writing in which he talked about himself, his family members but mainly focused on social, political environment of society; such as corruption, violence, changes in values, relationships, sex etc… While stating his views, he played an impartial role as an umpire where he holds his own generation responsible for all these things. For him “LIFE IS A TERMINAL DISEASE “& becomes a central point of his whole conversation. This is an account of very common man, reflects impartially profit & loss account and the balance sheet of his life where he talked strictly even about the mistakes done by him and his generation. Which is vital requirement of any autobiography.
